Hello, I recently switched from an Asus to a Mac Pro, and I am unable to bring up the Cheat menu on my Mac. How do I fix it?
Could someone please help? Thanks.

It should be Ctrl+Option+c

If that doesn't work, edit the hotkeys.cfg file and find the line that says:
Cheats =

And see what combo is listed. You can edit this to be whatever you like.

Why would you want the cheats menu when you can just play?

The name "cheats menu" is a bit of a misnomer, and thus has now been renamed "Sandbox menu" in OpenTTD. It offers additional options that can be enabled or disabled during gameplay to enhance your experience.

I've always thought of it as the "Advanced options" menu.
But then, I only ever play solo, never multiplayer, and I'm a "sandbox" kind of player anyway. I just want to make a nice train network.
So things like tunnels crossing and fewer plane crashes are really useful.
Having the ability to play as and control and modify A.I.s is incredibly useful.
Having said that, "cheating" money does feel like cheating to me, even though I'm playing solo and I don't play a "competitive" style of game. So I treat it as a loan.I keep notes and pay the money back when the company is profitable.
(I should mention that I only ever play with a patchpack, currently JGR, as I use Infrastucture sharing quite heavily. The game has become unplayable without it (for me).)
Renaming it to "Sandbox Menu" makes a lot of sense to me.

@ DavidBoughan. I hope you get it working. It's a powerful tool. I couldn't do without it.

Pete.
